Harry Baker

Harry Baker is an award-winning British pianist, arranger and musical director active at the highest levels of both jazz and classical performance. As a jazz musician, he has worked with Jamie Cullum, Misha Mullov-Abbado and others at venues including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and King’s Place. As a classical pianist, collaborations with sopranos Fatma Said (Warner Classics), Danielle de Niese (Metropolitan Opera) and cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason have led to performances at Wigmore Hall, Konzerthaus Berlin and Verbier & Lucerne Festivals, in addition to media performances on BBC1&2 and BBC Radio 3. 

As a musical director, Harry has coached and conducted his arrangements with the National Youth Choirs, and his arrangements have been recorded on Decca Classics and performed for BBC Proms 2024 at the Royal Albert Hall. He consults the Britten Sinfonia on programme curation and arranging, and directs and sings with Standard Deviation, one of the UK’s leading jazz vocal ensembles. Harry holds the position of Musician-in-Residence at Bobby Moore Academy, and tutors Jazz at the University of Oxford.
